MADRE Project

Project objectives:
The initiative aims to improve access to safe and dignified healthcare for pregnant women and newborns through the construction and installation of a fully equipped delivery room in Kenya, contributing to the protection of maternal and child health, the prevention of mortality, and the strengthening of local communities, in line with the principles of sustainable human development and the 2030 Agenda.

Expected / achieved results:
– construction and commissioning of a delivery room compliant with hygiene and health standards;
– increase in the number of assisted births in a safe environment;
– improving women's access to prenatal and postpartum care services;
– strengthening the skills of local health workers and midwives;
– increasing community awareness on maternal and child health issues and women's rights.
